Leipzig Airport Terminal
Leipzig Airport (LEJ) is the main gateway to Leipzig and Halle cities, being the second-largest cargo hub in Germany.
It is mainly a regional and domestic airport even some international flights are also served to Europe and Turkey.
Leipzig Airport Terminal is split into a couple of connected passenger terminals:
Central terminal
The Central Terminal is where entrances A-F are located.
It is able to host 4.5 million passengers and is home of the check-in area and the Mall.
Access to Terminal B and its gates is granted from this terminal.
Note that the terminal hosts the InterCity Express Railway Station.
Check-in Area
This area is where the check-in procedures are done.
Services: Check-in counters, cash machines, ticket counters, travel agency desks, train counters, a café.
The Mall
This is a concessions facility. Find here travel agencies, VIP lounges, restaurants, stores and an information desk.
Please note that both Check-in Area and Mall are connected to the parking garage.
Terminal B
Leipzig Airport Terminal B is where the Departure and Arrival lounges are located.
It has a couple of levels as follows:
Ground level
This is the Arrivals level with baggage claim area and customs area.
Find here ground transportation options (car rental desks, bus, taxi).
Services: Shops and restaurants, drugstore, cash machines, lost baggage and information desk.
First floor
This is the Departures level.
This level is split into three waiting areas: Schengen (right), mixed (center) and non-Schengen (left), leading to boarding gates.
Services: Bars and a restaurant, chapel, conference rooms, book store and separated waiting areas, children’s corner, duty free stores, lounges, among others.
